Are there any prerequisites?

No. The ATD Intensive program is designed to meet you where you are. If you want to level up your virtual training and transform your solutions from emergency pandemic versions to impactful learning experiences, we’re here to support you on that journey.

What are the registration options and fees?

When you enroll in the program, you may choose to enroll in the full program (three live learning days: August 18, September 1, and September 15) or you can select only one day of programming.

Enrolling in the full program is the best way to ensure you have everything you need to revamp your virtual training programs. However, if you want to dive into only one area or the full live session schedule doesn’t work for you, single-day options are available.

You can learn more about what is included in the different registration options on the registration benefits page.

What if I can't attend the live sessions?

While we encourage you to attend the sessions live when your schedule allows, live attendance is not a requirement for success in our program. Each live session will be recorded, and the recordings will be posted in the platform by 5 p.m. the following business day. However, you’ll miss out on the group discussions and peer-to-peer learning, so we highly recommend joining live.

How will I be most successful in this program?

Success in this program requires that you take consistent, focused action, that you show up, and that you take the time to apply what you are learning and keep moving forward

The bottom line is that you can’t expect anything to magically work for you or for your virtual training programs to change overnight. You need to do the work. Attend the live sessions. Complete your assignments. Ask questions. Get to know your peers. Share. Apply what you are learning. Use our planning tools consistently.

Our team is committed to your success—and that means doing whatever we can to support you along the way. If you still don’t find what you’re looking for, email us! We’re happy to help you find the answers.

How long is the program?

Depending on your program, they are primarily designed to help you identify, set, and then implement your biggest, most important goals for your virtual training programs at any given time. You’ll be able to pick and choose the sessions you want to attend that will help you reach your goals.

Live sessions are 4–5 hours per delivery, and each live session is supplemented with 5–8 hours of on-demand content to dive deeper into certain topics. It’s up to you which of those sessions make the most sense.

The application can be time consuming. ATD Intensive gives you the space and community to share, collaborate, and ask questions. It’s your opportunity to learn, apply, and repeat for your own success. We highly recommend incorporating some focused work time on your schedule during the program in addition to the live sessions.

When does the program begin? Is there a schedule?

The live program starts on August 18. Our live learning sessions run August 18, September 1, and September 15. Messy Learning Lab schedules are being finalized and will be available in late June 2022.

As part of the program, you’ll have access to your Execution Playbook and all on-demand content in the virtual platform, beginning August 16, 2022.

Access to the virtual platform and all on-demand sessions and recordings of the live sessions will be available through October 31, 2022.

How will I receive my materials?

Live sessions will be delivered through our virtual platform, Juno. Recordings and all other program materials will be posted within Juno as well. You’ll be emailed your login information once the platform is available for use (anticipated August 16, 2022).

What other virtual training programs does ATD offer?

ATD has additional virtual training offerings, including the Virtual Instructional Design Certificate and Virtual Training & Facilitation Certificate. Each two-day program has in-person and live online dates scheduled throughout the year. If you’re looking for an in-person conference experience, ATD TechKnowledge has an entire track on virtual training and will be held February 7–9, 2023, in New Orleans.
